1. SHIPPING COSTS

Flat rates for complete bikes

Prices in EUR per complete bike. EU prices include VAT. Switzerland: without German VAT; additional import charges and possible fees as explained below. Packaging, transport insurance, delivery appointment and a call from the driver before arrival are included.

We do not ship complete bikes to Cyprus, Malta or the United Kingdom.

Germany: mainland delivery only; German islands are excluded. For islands and special territories in other countries, please contact us before ordering to check delivery availability.

For multiple complete bikes, the relevant flat rate is charged per bike. Accessories in the same basket do not incur an additional parcel shipping charge. Used-market bikes remain collection-only for the entire basket.

Complete-bike delivery to Switzerland

Switzerland: €500 per complete bike, without German VAT. Packaging, transport insurance, delivery appointment, a call from the driver, export declaration and import customs clearance by our service provider are included. Swiss import charges (in particular import VAT and any customs duties) and possible additional disbursement, advance-payment or processing fees charged by the Swiss service provider are not included in the shop total. As the importer, you pay these amounts directly to the Swiss service provider. Additional fees depend on that provider’s charges and cannot be stated as a fixed amount. For private customers, delivery normally takes place only after the requested payment has been received; please allow for this when arranging delivery. This payment is separate from payment for your shop order.

Freight delivery of complete bikes

Shipping via Cargoboard includes transport insurance. We agree the delivery date with you in advance. The driver also calls before delivery. Please provide a reachable telephone number in the delivery address. We review and discuss your bike configuration with you before proceeding with your order. Used-market bikes are available for collection by appointment only; this applies to the entire order, including accessories.

Returns

Accessories and spare parts

Accessories, spare parts and smaller items can generally be returned as a parcel. When withdrawing from a purchase, you normally bear the direct return shipping costs. We are happy to provide a DHL return label on request. Before providing it, we will tell you whether you bear the costs or we cover them. If you bear the costs, we will specify the total amount for the agreed labels and agree how it will be paid. We will only charge you for the labels if you have expressly agreed to the amount and payment method beforehand. Otherwise, we cover the cost of the label we provide.

Any voluntary contribution as a goodwill gesture is agreed for the individual case. For a valid defect claim, we cover the transport costs necessary to remedy the defect.

Trikes and other bulky goods

Complete trikes, recumbent bicycles, adult tricycles, tandems and similarly bulky goods generally cannot be returned as an ordinary parcel. A freight carrier or suitable vehicle transport may be needed. Costs depend particularly on transport dimensions, collection location and transport method.

For the return of one complete trike from mainland Germany to Detmold following withdrawal, we estimate the direct return costs at a maximum of approximately EUR 1,200 including VAT. This is an estimate, not a flat-rate charge. Complete bikes are shipped at the country flat rates shown on our shipping page, per complete bike. EU prices include VAT; the Swiss shipping price is €500 without German VAT. We do not ship complete bikes to Cyprus, Malta or the United Kingdom. The estimated German return cost does not apply as a flat rate to other countries; we clarify the return transport conditions for the specific destination before accepting the order.

You may arrange suitable return transport yourself; we are happy to assist. Original packaging, use of our label and contacting us beforehand are not conditions for exercising your statutory right of withdrawal. Please ensure the goods are sufficiently protected for the chosen transport. Full details are provided in our withdrawal information.

Parcel order cut-off

For regular parcels and – once offered – DHL Express, the processing cut-off for same-day dispatch is Monday to Friday, 12 noon (German local time). Goods must be ready to ship; Express requires the full ordered quantity of every parcel item to be in our own stock. Orders received after noon or at weekends are processed on the next dispatch day, excluding public holidays and business closures. The cut-off does not guarantee next-day delivery.

For mixed parcel baskets we charge the highest applicable shipping rate once. With complete bikes, the country flat rate applies per complete bike; accessories do not add a parcel charge. A used-market item makes the entire basket collection-only.

Complete bikes: country flat rates as listed above, including €280 per bike to mainland Germany. We arrange the delivery date with you in advance, and the driver also calls before arrival. A reachable telephone number is required in the delivery address. We do not ship complete bikes to Cyprus, Malta or the United Kingdom.
