Would you like to take your time testing an adult trike, a recumbent bike or an e-trike? At trike-x-press in Detmold, we set aside around two hours for a personal consultation and an extensive test ride with several trikes.

Together, we will find out which trike best suits your everyday life, mobility and health-related needs. We adjust the bikes to your height, body weight and any mobility limitations so that you feel comfortable from the very beginning.

Why a Trike Test Ride Is So Important

An adult trike or recumbent bike is more than “just” a bicycle:

1. Arrival & getting to know you
   We first take the time to understand your situation: your mobility, health, intended use – such as everyday journeys, tours or travel – and your budget.
2. Selecting suitable trikes & recumbent bikes
   Based on your wishes, we suggest suitable models – for example comfortable adult trikes, sporty recumbent bikes or e-trikes with electric assistance.
3. Individual initial setup
   Wherever possible, we adjust the seat, crank position and handlebars to your height and weight in advance so that you feel comfortable straight away.
4. An unhurried test ride
   You can test several trikes – more than once if you wish. We explain everything you need to know, including the gears, motor, brakes and handling.
5. Review & next steps
   At the end, we review which trike suits you best and answer any remaining questions about equipment, financing, modifications or accessories.

What We Need to Know in Advance

To help us prepare your adult trike or recumbent bike as well as possible before your appointment, the booking form asks for a few optional details:

• Height – so that we can pre-adjust the seat and crank position
• Body weight – important for optimum suspension and stability
• Notes, wishes or any mobility limitations
  For example, issues involving your back, knees or balance, or difficulty getting on and off the trike

The more information you give us, the better we can prepare your trike – and the more effectively you can use the time available for your test ride.

If You Can’t Attend Your Appointment

Sometimes things come up unexpectedly. If you are unable to attend your test ride, please let us know briefly – either by telephone or by replying to your confirmation email. This means we will not be waiting unnecessarily and can offer the available appointment to someone else interested in an adult trike or recumbent bike.
