E-cargo bike funding: check the current rules
The former EUR 2,500 limit in this article is outdated. The federal funding database currently lists a grant of 25% of eligible purchase expenditure, up to EUR 3,500 per eligible e-cargo bike or e-cargo trailer.
Eligibility depends on the applicant, the exact vehicle and its intended use. The model must be included in the BAFA positive list. Private use and vehicles designed for passenger transport are excluded. A Trimobil’s payload alone does not establish eligibility.
Check the current programme, application availability and approval requirements before placing a binding order. The published procedure requires the grant approval notice before the purchase contract is concluded.
