The Gravit Dust introduced in 2023 combines a compact cargo-bike concept with sporting use. Load figures must be read carefully.
200 kg does not mean 200 kg of cargo
The GRAVIT manual specifies a maximum payload of 200 kg including the rider. The loading platform has a separate limit of 70 kg. The earlier wording suggesting 200 kg of cargo was misleading.
Individual rack and accessory limits still apply within the overall payload. Plan weight distribution and suitable load securing for each loaded journey.
Understanding the concept
The combination may suit people carrying luggage on everyday routes and leisure trips. Gravel branding does not permit unrestricted use on difficult terrain. Follow the intended use in the manual and the limits of the fitted components.
Planning a test ride
- Practise slow starts and turns without a load first.
- Use a representative, securely attached load to assess handling.
- Test braking and parking in a controlled setting.
- Check the space needed at home and during transport.
